An analysis of clean energy jobs in Colorado shows 62,000 people in the sector. Around two-thirds of the total are employed in energy efficiency-related work and nearly a quarter of the jobs are in renewable energy, according to the report, which was released by nonpartisan business group Environmental Entrepreneurs (E2). The report, “Clean Jobs Colorado,” is based on U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics information and data from the U.S. Department of Energy, as well as a survey completed by hundreds of businesses across Colorado. Of the approximately 14,000 renewables employees, 7,000 of them work in solar and 6,500 in wind power. E2 estimates that the clean energy sector will hire nearly 1,500 additional workers over the next year, a 2 percent growth rate over 2015. The full report can be found here.
