In a new nationwide poll of voters who supported President-elect Donald Trump, a majority answered a number of questions showing continued strong support for clean energy and cutting carbon pollution. The poll of 2,000 self-identified Trump voters was conducted by the Glover Park Group and Morning Consult in mid-December. Nearly three-quarters (73 percent) think that we should maintain or increase spending on renewable energy and 76 percent support a plan that would require manufacturers to make appliances more energy efficient. More than half (61 percent) think the government should require U.S. companies to reduce carbon emissions.
