The Argentine government is preparing to boost the number of contracts it awards to build renewable power projects, bringing the country’s total investment in such projects to $4 billion. The plans announced by the government call for awarding contracts to generate 1,281 megawatts of clean energy through 30 different wind and solar power projects, according to Argentina’s energy minister. The country has set a goal of raising clean energy output to 20 percent of the total power supply by 2025.
