Renewables will receive the lion’s share of energy investments over the next 25 years, according to a new analysis by Bloomberg New Energy Finance. That data point is one of several forecasts made by BNEF in a series of data visualizations on how world power markets will evolve through 2040. Others include: solar and wind prices falling another 60 percent and 41 percent respectively; coal use declining nearly everywhere except India; and electric vehicle sales increasing 90-fold.
